Join Alex White, our amazing Account Executive in the NHC Procurement team, as she shares what makes her proud to be part of the team, why our team is so special, and who she’d love to trade places with for a day!
What’s your role, and what does a typical day look like for you?
I was privileged to join the NHC Procurement Team in September 2024 as an Account Executive. In my role, I manage a diverse portfolio of member accounts across the South East, South West, and East of England. Every day, I’m driven by the opportunity to grow our member base, champion awareness of NHC’s innovative solutions and streamlined call-off processes, and provide expert guidance that empowers both existing and prospective members. Supporting our members in achieving their goals is not just my responsibility – it’s something I’m extremely passionate about.
What’s one project you’re really proud of?
I recently had the privilege of assisting Buckinghamshire New University, a new member, with the urgent procurement of their passenger lift requirement. Throughout the process, I valued the opportunity of building strong working relationships with BNU’s team and enjoyed working collaboratively with fellow colleagues at NHC Procurement. By fostering productive conversations and addressing challenges together, we delivered a contract that met their precise requirements.
A core advantage that sets our team apart is that we are deeply committed to ensuring timely documentation and the seamless implementation of contracts in line with our members’ required start dates. I am immensely proud to be part of such a dedicated and talented group of professionals, all united by the shared goal of providing unparalleled support to our members throughout their procurement journey.
If you could swap jobs with anyone within the team for a day, who would it be and why?
I would exchange roles with Senior Policy & Research Manager, Tom Kennedy, to gain valuable insight into policy development and events focussing on energy efficiency, housing quality, and government initiatives aimed at delivering warmer homes and addressing fuel poverty. Tom is an excellent public speaker, and I believe that shadowing him for a day would provide a unique and invaluable perspective into his role day to day.
What’s one thing you think makes our team unique or strong?
Our team is unwavering in our commitment to delivering comprehensive support across critical areas, including compliance, regulatory requirements, independent living, financial solutions, and net zero objectives. We take immense pride in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, placing our members firmly at the heart of everything we do. Every action we take is driven by a shared passion for creating meaningful impact and delivering exceptional value to our members.
What three words would you use to describe working at NHC?
Collaborative, rewarding, meaningful.
