Stairlifts and Lifting Equipment
Are you looking for ways to support your tenants and making sure they have an independent life in their homes?]
If you have a tenant who needs a stairlift or hoists and slings installed in their home, we’re here to help.
The Stairlifts and Lifting Equipment Framework helps to simplify buying processes for public sector organisations who are looking to support disabled tenants by adapting their home to meet their needs.
From commissioning the design, supply and installation of specialist lifting products to providing lifting equipment services including testing and recycling of mobility equipment, the Stairlifts and Lifting Equipment Framework supports local authorities and housing associations in meeting the needs of residents and service users.
At NHC Procurement, we understand the importance of providing your residents with a safe, accessible and comfortable living environment. That’s why we make sure residents have homes that are effectively adapted to their needs.
We ensure that all Stairlift and Lifting Equipment solutions are compliant with regulations like the Equality Act 2010. Landlords must strictly comply with the Act when housing disabled tenants by making reasonable adjustments, allowing property adaptations and ensuring accessible active fire protection arrangements.
Our comprehensive Stairlifts and Lifting Equipment Framework is designed to ensure your residents are comfortable and safe in their homes while complying with critical regulations.
What is the Stairlifts and Lifting Equipment Framework?
The Stairlifts and Lifting Equipment Framework is a national procurement agreement used by local authorities, housing associations, NHS Trusts and other public sector organisations who are responsible for the safe housing of residents. It covers the design, supply and installation, and service and maintenance, of specialist lifting products.
A well-adapted home can make a huge difference to someone’s life. It eases the stress and anxiety that often comes alongside dealing with mobility challenges which leads to better overall wellbeing.
The Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) is available for residents with accessibility or adaptation requirements when using this framework. Provided by local authorities, the grant is used to help cover the cost of making necessary adaptations to the homes of disabled individuals.
To qualify for a DFG, you or someone living in your home must be disabled. The applicant must be the homeowner, tenant or landlord, and the property must be intended for the disabled person’s use during the grant period.
The framework offers a compliant route to market under the Procurement Act 2023, and is live until April 2030.
