Meet Rosie Beckford, our Procurement & Contracts Officer , she shares what a typical day looks like and shares the project she’s most proud of!
What’s your role, and what does a typical day look like for you?
I’m a Procurement & Contracts Officer at NHC Procurement, and no two days ever look quite the same – which is exactly what I enjoy about the role.
My work centres on guiding our members through the call‑off process, ensuring everything is compliant, transparent, and aligned with best practice.
My days are usually a blend of member support, document preparation, reviewing submissions, and keeping projects moving. It’s a fast‑paced environment, but the variety keeps me motivated and engaged.
What’s one project you’re really proud of?
My first ever further competition will always stand out.
It was quite a while ago now, but it was the first time I managed the entire process from start to finish. Further competitions involve a huge amount of detail and coordination, so seeing it all come together successfully was a real milestone for me. It gave me a lot of confidence and set the foundation for how I approach projects today.
If you could swap jobs with anyone within the team for a day, who would it be and why?
I’d love to step into the role of our DPS/Framework Manager for a day.
They get to work closely with the finer details of the full procurement process and have direct engagement with both suppliers and members. Being part of those conversations and seeing how they shape each DPS or framework would be fascinating. It’s a perspective that would deepen my understanding of how everything fits together.
What’s one thing you think makes our team unique or strong?
Our strength comes from how close‑knit we are, everyone genuinely cares about the work we do, and we consistently push ourselves to deliver the best outcomes for our members.
There’s a shared sense of purpose and pride that makes collaboration feel natural and rewarding.
What three words would you use to describe working at NHC?
Inspiring, fun and positive.
